Overview
Tuesday was a broad, orderly dollar decline rather than a single event: every major currency gained between 0.17% (the yen) and 0.45% (the New Zealand dollar). The euro first set a new 20-day low at 1.1151 in Asian hours, then recovered to close at 1.1198. Metals split from currencies, with silver falling 1.84% on a day when gold slipped only 0.24%. Everything now runs into the Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI report at 13:30 UK.
